Alrijne Hospital and nursing home Leythenrode choose IQ Messenger’s smart alarm solution

We are excited to announce that Alrijne Hospital and nursing home Leythenrode have placed their trust in the IQ Messenger Medical platform, in close collaboration with implementation partner Yourizon. This decision marks an important step toward enhancing care processes and patient safety.

The first implementation at Alrijne Hospital took place in the neonatology department, where our platform seamlessly integrates alerts from devices such as Philips monitors, BD Alaris infusion pumps, Dräger incubators, and Tyco nurse call systems. All notifications are sent directly to the IQ Messenger Medical SmartApp on smartphones, ensuring faster and more efficient patient management.

In addition, advanced web applications such as the Real Time Console, Graphical Floor Plan, and Graphical Event Assignment have been deployed to provide even greater support to staff. Later this year, additional departments across the hospital will also be connected.

At nursing home Leythenrode, the platform is being widely deployed to optimize care for residents with diverse needs. Residents wear wristbands with location tracking via Evresys, and safety zones have been configured to enhance protection. For residents requiring more intensive care, smart sensors with AI-powered fall detection from Kepler Vision Technologies are being installed in 60 apartments and communal areas, in collaboration with MOBOTIX AG.

A notable aspect of this implementation is the integration with fire safety systems. The IQ Messenger platform complies with the NEN 2575-4 standard and is linked to Leythenrode’s fire alarm control panel. This allows for streamlined alarm management within a single application. The implementation also includes our Switcher application, enabling flexible activation and deactivation of systems, and an assignment module that ensures notifications reach the right destination. All alerts are logged in a reporting module for reliable record-keeping.
